Our Level 2 qualification is highly adaptable and can be adjusted to suit the specific needs of various individuals and employers.

We offer a three-week course designed for and delivered to unemployed individuals. This program focuses on providing a foundational understanding of motor vehicle technology, along with essential health and safety knowledge relevant to working with hybrid and electric vehicles.

✔️Introduction to the motor industry and health and safety in this new working environment.

✔️Introduction to steering, suspension and braking systems, various electrical systems, internal combustion engines, fuel and exhaust systems, transmissions and drivelines.

✔️ Understand basic electrical principles and laws, how to correctly use measuring equipment and read wiring diagrams.

✔️ An overview of various electrical systems on all types of electric and hybrid vehicles.

✔️Introduction to health and safety requirements when working on electric and hybrid vehicles.

✔️Learn safe preparation of the vehicle when carrying out routine maintenance on electric/hybrid vehicles.

✔️ Complete a practical assessment.

The Level 2 qualification can also be delivered over a much shorter timescale for those working in the motor vehicle industry. This course is aimed at those who will already have an understanding of the fundamentals of vehicle technology but need training and experience in vehicle hazard management of hybrid and electric vehicles in an emergency or vehicle recovery situation.
