As we close out 2025, the ‘next big thing’ is finally arriving on the horizon.
We’ve seen the first pilot production lines for Solid-State Batteries (SSBs) from companies like Ilika and GAC. These batteries promise a 1,000km range and much higher safety levels. Meanwhile, the first 500kW ultra-rapid chargers are appearing at motorway services.
The 2026 training agenda is already clear: we need to prepare for higher voltages, faster thermal management systems, and the arrival of truly mass-market solid-state technology.
