The UK’s Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 have officially hit their one-year milestone.
As of last month, all rapid charging networks (50kW+) are now mandated to achieve a 99% average annual reliability. This is a massive win for drivers, but a huge challenge for the workforce. We are seeing a pivot in training demand: we don’t just need installers; we need a “Rapid Response” workforce capable of diagnosing communication protocols (OCPI) and hardware faults under pressure.
